While the base recipes for these two bars contain differing oils and essential oils, the main difference is the addition of salt to the salt bars. Both are soap and have the scrubbing power of cranberry seeds and pumice.
Why Strait Gate Signature?
The owners of Strait Gate Greenhouses, a local business, were talking to me about a well-liked handmade scrubby soap (not made by me) which they had run out of. I took it upon myself to create a gardeners' soap for them. After several trials, we found one that they liked, and I named it after their business.
Cranberry seeds and pumice provide coarse and fine scrubbing power, respectively. Salt (in the salt bar) makes a harder bar with more creamy lather. Both kinds of soap are scented with essential oils.
Since no two batches of soap are exactly the same, colors/designs may vary somewhat from what is pictured. Labels, also, may be slightly different.
Each bar of soap weighs at least 4.25 ounces (120.5 grams) and is approximately 3" long, 2" wide, and 1.5" deep. The salt bars weight 5 ounces (142 grams) and have the same dimensions as the soap.

Signature Salt Bar: Coconut oil, Himalayan pink salt powder, distilled water, pumice, avocado oil, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, orange essential oil, beeswax, lavender essential oil, peppermint essential oil, coconut milk powder, cranberry seeds, kaolin clay, mica (optional), aloe vera powder, rosemary oil extract, silk
Before use, store in a dark, well-ventilated area. Do not store in direct sunlight or overly hot conditions.
After opening your bar of soap, for longer life, store in a well-drained soap dish between uses. Leaving it in a puddle of water can turn your lovely bar of soap into an undesirable bit of mush. While the salt bar naturally remains firmer, its life will still be prolonged by keeping it free of standing water between uses.
